MUMBAI: Bollywood actor Aamir Khan is at the center of a fresh controversy after reports in Indian media claimed that a Hindu religious figure announced a cash reward for anyone who kills the actor following his reported third marriage.
The reported remarks have drawn widespread attention because they involve an alleged public threat against a high-profile public figure. As of publication, there has been no official statement from Aamir Khan or his representatives, and it remains unclear whether police have initiated any legal action in connection with the reported comments.
Reported Reward Announcement Sparks Controversy
According to Indian media reports, protests have been held by some Hindu extremist groups following Aamir Khan’s reported marriage to his partner, Gauri Spratt. Demonstrators have reportedly burned effigies of the actor at several locations.
