The Pakistan Standards and Quality Control Authority has reinforced its zero-tolerance policy against corruption, bribery, favoritism and misuse of authority as part of a renewed accountability framework.

According to a press release, the directive was issued under the instructions of the Director General of PSQCA and applies to all officers and officials, regardless of rank or designation.

The authority said the directive should be treated as a final notice on professional conduct. Any officer or official found involved in misconduct, abuse of authority or malpractice may face disciplinary action and legal proceedings in accordance with the law.

PSQCA said the move is aimed at strengthening institutional transparency, improving governance and ensuring ethical conduct within the organization.

Complaint mechanism established

To support the accountability process, PSQCA has also introduced a formal mechanism for reporting irregularities and malpractice.

Employees, stakeholders and members of the public have been encouraged to submit reasonable information regarding any suspected misconduct. Anonymous complaints will also be considered if they contain sufficient details to allow proper review.

Complaints and concerns may be submitted through official channels, including email at dgeneral@psqca.com.pk, through E-Office to the Director General PSQCA, or at the authority’s offices in Karachi and Islamabad.

The Karachi office is located at Plot No. ST-7/A, Block 3, Scheme No. 36, Gulistan-e-Johar, while the Islamabad office is located at Plot No. 17, Street No. 6, H-9/1.

The authority may also be contacted by phone at +92-21-9933901 and +92-51-9265020, or through the mobile number +92-333-7364208 for the PS to the Director General.

PSQCA said the directive reflects the incumbent Director General’s commitment to transparent governance, professional discipline and a performance-driven institutional culture aligned with broader reform efforts.
