KARACHI: The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi hosted a special Naatia Mushaira at the Josh Malihabadi Library in the Ahmed Shah Building to mark 12th Rabi-ul-Awwal, bringing together prominent poets and writers to express their devotion to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) through poetry.
The literary gathering was held in an atmosphere of reverence and spirituality. The event began with the recitation of the Holy Quran, followed by a Naat in praise of the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ).
Renowned Poets Present Naatiya Poetry
Naat Khuwan Yousuf Siddiqui presented verses expressing love and devotion, while Shakeel Khan served as the compere.
Prominent poets who participated in the Mushaira included Prof. Sehar Ansari, Anwar Shaoor, Tariq Sabzwari, Wazahat Naseem, Fatima Hasan, Farasat Rizvi, Khalid Irfan, Ambreen Haseeb Amber, Rehana Roohi, Aqeel Abbas Jafri, Naseem Naazish, Rukhsana Saba, Khalid Moeen, Khalida Uzma and Ahmed Jahangir.
Through their Naatiya poetry, the participating poets highlighted their love for the Holy Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) and reflected on different aspects of his Seerah, including mercy, compassion, exemplary character and teachings for humanity.
