On the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, a Model Ramzan Bazaar has been established on Pinwal Road in Chakwal, which is fully functional under the supervision of the district administration. Deputy Commissioner Qurat-ul-Ain Malik visited the Ramzan Facilitation Bazaar to review the prices, quality, and availability of essential food items, as well as other arrangements.
On this occasion, Assistant Commissioner Chakwal Zeeshan Sharif Qaisrani, DO Industries Aamir Raza, and officials from the Market Committee, Municipal Committee, and other relevant institutions were also present. The Deputy Commissioner instructed that the provision of high-quality and affordable essential commodities to the public must be ensured at all costs.
She emphasized that providing quality and affordable goods in Ramzan Facilitation Bazaars is the top priority of the government, and strict monitoring will continue for this purpose. She further stated that a zero-tolerance policy will be implemented regarding the sale of essential commodities.
Deputy Commissioner Qurat-ul-Ain Malik highlighted that, as per the directives of Punjab Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif, concrete steps have been taken to provide maximum relief to the public. To ensure the availability of affordable sugar in the district, 20 sale points have been established.
She stated that vegetables, fruits, lentils, gram flour, and meat will be available in the Ramzan Facilitation Bazaars at lower prices compared to the regular market. She urged the public to take full advantage of the government’s affordable facilitation bazaars and purchase their daily essentials from these markets instead of general markets to maximize their savings.
During her visit, the Deputy Commissioner also inspected the waiting area, first aid facilities, and Rescue 1122 counters set up for consumers in the facilitation bazaar. A complaint cell has also been established to address consumer grievances on the spot.
