The Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi, in collaboration with Alliance Française de Karachi, hosted the International Music Fest – Fête de la Musique, bringing together French and Pakistani musicians for an evening celebrating cultural diversity, artistic collaboration and cross-cultural exchange.
Held at Studio One in Karachi, the event attracted diplomats, artists, musicians and music enthusiasts, highlighting the growing cultural partnership between Pakistan and France through live performances and creative dialogue.
French And Pakistani Musicians Share The Stage
The festival was attended by Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi President Muhammad Ahmed Shah, Alliance Française de Karachi Director Emmanuel Breurec, Sohail Hashmi, diplomats and members of the artistic community.
French performers Saffron Sweaters, Clément Visage and DJ SQLN presented contemporary performances that showcased the diversity of modern French music.
Clément Visage, the solo project of French musician Clément Grethen, performed electronic pop music exploring themes of identity, emotion and human connection, earning appreciation from the audience.
Pakistani Artists Add Local Musical Flavor
Pakistani performers Arman Rahim, Muzammil and Shahid Rehman captivated the audience with performances blending traditional Pakistani music with contemporary styles.
Their performances added a unique local dimension to the international festival and received an enthusiastic response from attendees.
Celebrating Cultural Exchange Through Music
Organizers said the festival provided a platform for artists from Pakistan and France to promote intercultural dialogue, mutual understanding and artistic collaboration.
The event concluded with the Arts Council of Pakistan Karachi and Alliance Française de Karachi reaffirming their commitment to strengthening cultural ties between the two countries through music and the performing arts.
