District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sindhu, held an open court (Khuli Kachehri) at Jamia Masjid Muhammadiya Ghosia in the jurisdiction of Police Station Civil Lines after Friday prayers. During the session, people presented their issues, upon which he issued immediate directives for their resolution on the spot.
He stated that improving the standard of public service delivery is among the top priorities of Jhelum Police. On this occasion, the people of Jhelum were urged to stay away from any illegal activities and to assist the police in identifying individuals involved in social evils such as drug trafficking, brothels, and other unlawful activities.
He emphasized that, following the directives of the Inspector General (IG) of Punjab, swift justice is being provided at the people’s doorstep. In this regard, police service centers, police protection centers, Misaq Centers, and reconciliation councils have been established, along with the upgrading of police stat.
