ISLAMABAD, June 19, 2026: SAP has reiterated its commitment to supporting Pakistan’s digital transformation and AI-driven economic growth during a high-level visit by Augusta Spinelli, Regional President for SAP Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
During the visit, Augusta Spinelli met Federal Minister for Information Technology and Telecommunication Shaza Fatima Khawaja to discuss Pakistan’s digital economy, emerging technologies, and the role of artificial intelligence in improving innovation, competitiveness, and workforce readiness.
Focus on AI, cloud, and digital skills
The discussions highlighted the increasing importance of AI, cloud computing, and digital skills in driving economic growth and improving efficiency across both public and private sectors.
Minister Shaza Fatima Khawaja said Pakistan’s digital economy is supported by a young and tech-savvy population and evolving policy frameworks. She noted the need for organizations to adopt data, cloud, and AI technologies to strengthen productivity and economic opportunity, while appreciating SAP’s contributions to digital development in Pakistan.
SAP highlights digital foundations for AI economy
SAP officials emphasized that strong digital infrastructure, integrated systems, and trusted data are essential for fully benefiting from AI adoption.
Augusta Spinelli said Pakistan represents a fast-growing and dynamic digital market, adding that organizations must build strong digital foundations to unlock innovation and performance in the AI era. She reaffirmed SAP’s interest in expanding partnerships across Pakistan’s technology ecosystem.
Business transformation and SME focus
SAP also highlighted opportunities in Pakistan’s small and medium-sized enterprise sector through solutions such as “GROW with SAP,” aimed at supporting cloud-based ERP adoption, process standardization, and AI-enabled automation.
SAP Middle East and Africa – North leadership said Pakistani organizations are increasingly moving toward data-driven operations focused on efficiency, resilience, and innovation.
SAP Pakistan leadership noted that industries including public services, financial institutions, telecom, and manufacturing are accelerating digital transformation, with growing demand for AI-enabled enterprise systems.
Continued investment in Pakistan’s digital ecosystem
SAP said it will continue working with customers, partners, and academic institutions in Pakistan to develop digital skills, modernize enterprise systems, and support long-term economic impact through technology adoption.
