Pakistan Hockey Team Honoured at Reception by High Commission in London

The Pakistan High Commission in London hosted a reception in honour of the national hockey team, welcoming the players and officials during their ongoing visit to England.

The event was hosted by High Commission officer Haseeb Bin Aziz, while officials and staff of the mission warmly received the national squad. The reception highlighted support for Pakistan’s national sport and the team’s efforts to rebuild its standing at the international level.

Pakistan hockey team head coach Manzoor-ul-Hassan said the squad had started a new journey and was showing improvement with each passing day.

He said the team had fought strongly in its recent matches against India in England and displayed competitive spirit against higher-ranked sides. He added that such experience would help the players grow and improve their performance in future international fixtures.

Speaking at the event, Haseeb Bin Aziz said it was an honour for the Pakistan High Commission to host the national hockey team. He extended best wishes to the players and officials, saying the entire nation was praying for the team’s success.

Pakistan Hockey Federation governing board member Pervez Sandhila, team manager and former Olympian Khawaja Muhammad Junaid, assistant coach and former national player Muhammad Waseem, along with other officials and guests, also attended the reception.

Participants expressed hope that with consistent hard work, discipline and better planning, Pakistan hockey could regain its lost position on the world stage.
