KARACHI, August 24, 2026: Mobilink Bank and Yango Pakistan have partnered to provide eligible Yango drivers and couriers with Shariah-compliant vehicle and handset financing, Takaful protection and digital banking services.
The partnership is designed to support drivers who rely on vehicles and digital connectivity as essential tools for earning, bringing financing, insurance protection, payments and banking services together through an integrated offering.
Financing Up to Rs5 Million
Under the partnership, eligible drivers can access Car Diminishing Musharakah financing of up to Rs5 million. Murabaha financing will also be available for motorcycles, e-bikes, rickshaws and handsets.
Rickshaw, motorcycle and handset financing will be offered under applicable Corporate Guarantee arrangements, according to the companies.
Takaful Protection Included
Eligible customers who obtain financing will receive complimentary embedded Takaful coverage throughout the financing period.
The protection includes income support, hospitalization and maternity benefits for eligible women borrowers, as well as accidental death or permanent disability coverage. Vehicle Takaful and other asset-protection options will also be available.
Mobilink Bank President and CEO Haaris Mahmood Chaudhary said the partnership would help bring formal financial services to workers in Pakistan’s growing gig economy.
Yango Pakistan Country Head Miral Sharif said vehicles are central to drivers’ earning capacity and that access to financing and protection could help them invest in the assets and tools they depend on.
Digital Banking and Payment Services
Eligible Yango partner drivers and couriers will also have access to Mobilink Bank’s digital banking and payments ecosystem.
Services will include digital account onboarding, Business Plus Account benefits, Raast QR payments and a dedicated Driver QR for fare collection. Selected connectivity and handset benefits will also be available.
The companies said the partnership is intended to provide drivers with a broader financial ecosystem rather than standalone vehicle financing.
