Pakistan’s national hockey team suffered a 4–2 defeat against India in the FIH Hockey Pro League match played at Lee Valley Hockey and Tennis Centre in London.
The result marks Pakistan’s 13th consecutive loss in the tournament, continuing a difficult run in the league campaign.
Pakistan initially took a first-half lead, but India responded strongly to level the score and then move ahead 2–1 by the second quarter. By the end of the third quarter, India had extended their advantage to 3–1 before both sides added one more goal each in the final stages, sealing a 4–2 win for India.
Pakistan entered the match without key players, including penalty corner specialists Sufyan Khan and Hannan Shahid, as well as captain Hamad Butt, which impacted team performance.
With this result, Pakistan has now scored 19 goals in the league while conceding 63 in total. The team is scheduled to face England next, followed by another match against India later in the week.
