LAHORE, 16th July, 2026: MG Motor Pakistan has completed a nationwide technical training programme for dealership technicians and service teams ahead of wider customer support for the all-new MG HS Hybrid+ and MG HS Super Hybrid.
The training was designed to strengthen after-sales readiness as Pakistan’s automotive market gradually expands into hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles. It focused on product knowledge, vehicle diagnostics, hybrid systems and service procedures required for MG’s latest New Energy Vehicles.
MG said the programme was conducted with assistance from its international technical team, including SAIC Motor China trainer Mr Ye.
Dealership technicians, field engineers and service operations teams from across Pakistan participated in the training.
Training Covers Hybrid and Electric Vehicle Systems
The sessions covered technical and service requirements for the MG HS Hybrid+, MG HS Super Hybrid, MG4 Urban and other advanced vehicle technologies.
Participants received instruction on diagnosing and maintaining modern hybrid and electric systems, following service protocols and handling technical issues more effectively.
The company said trained personnel and advanced diagnostic capabilities would be increasingly important as more customers move towards electrified vehicles.
After-sales support for hybrid and electric vehicles requires specialised knowledge because their powertrains, battery systems and electronic components differ from those used in conventional petrol-powered vehicles.

MG Focuses on After-Sales Readiness
MG Motor Pakistan Chief Executive Officer Jianqiang Shao said introducing new-energy vehicles was only one part of the company’s responsibility to customers.
“The real responsibility begins after the customer takes delivery,” Shao said, adding that the programme was intended to ensure dealership teams had the technical knowledge and service standards required to support owners.
The company said customer confidence in hybrid and electric vehicles would depend not only on vehicle performance but also on trained technicians, parts availability, service quality and access to reliable maintenance facilities.
Pakistan’s New Energy Vehicle Market Expands
Pakistan’s automotive industry is seeing growing interest in hybrid, plug-in hybrid and electric vehicles as manufacturers introduce new models and consumers look for alternatives to conventional fuel-powered cars.
MG said it plans to support this transition by expanding technician capability, service operations and access to genuine parts across its dealership network.
The company described the training programme as part of its broader effort to develop an after-sales ecosystem for New Energy Vehicles in Pakistan.
