PESHAWAR: The Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Right to Public Services Commission has released its Annual Report 2025, showing a sharp increase in public complaints and wider use of the province’s service delivery mechanism.
According to the report, the Commission received 742 complaints in 2025, compared with 294 complaints in 2024. The rise was described as an indication of growing public awareness and trust in the Commission’s complaint system.
Most complaints were related to driving licences, arms licences, registration of first information reports and land-related matters.
The report said more than 2.8 million applications were processed during the year, while 4,299 awareness activities were held across the province to inform citizens about their right to timely public services.
The Commission also initiated disciplinary action against 20 officials from different departments over service delivery issues.
Districts and departments with most complaints
According to the Annual Report 2025, the highest number of complaints were received from Mardan, Mansehra and Peshawar.
The Transport, Home, Police, Revenue and Local Government departments were among the departments that received the highest number of complaints during the year.
Officials recognised for performance
The report also acknowledged officers and officials who showed strong performance during the year.
District Monitoring Officer Kohat Tashfin Israr was declared a Star Performer. The Commission also appreciated the performance of Shakir Ullah from Hangu, Rehmat Hussain from Bajaur and Muhammad Yousaf Hassan from Dera Ismail Khan.
The services of officers from different departments, RTS Ambassadors and district officials were also recognised in the annual report.
The Commission said it was working to promote service delivery based on transparency, efficiency, accountability and public trust.
