Kasur Announces Local Holiday for Baba Bulleh Shah Urs

A local holiday has been announced in Kasur for Saturday, August 29, 2026, on the occasion of the 269th annual Urs of renowned Sufi poet and saint Hazrat Baba Bulleh Shah.

The holiday will apply to district offices working under the Deputy Commissioner and relevant district government institutions in Kasur. The three-day Urs celebrations are currently underway, with the second day featuring religious gatherings and a large number of devotees visiting the shrine.

Urs Celebrations Continue

Devotees are visiting Baba Bulleh Shah’s shrine to offer prayers and pay their respects, while spiritual gatherings are also being held as part of the annual celebrations.

The district administration has made enhanced security arrangements around the shrine and surrounding areas to facilitate visitors and maintain order throughout the Urs.
