Israel announces halt to attacks on Iran after Trump’s ceasefire call

Israel has decided to suspend its ongoing air and military operations against Iran following a ceasefire call by U.S. President Donald Trump, according to international media reports.

The move comes amid heightened regional tensions and follows reports of indirect diplomatic messaging aimed at preventing further escalation between Israel and Iran.

According to the reports, Israel has halted its military strikes against Iran with immediate effect. However, military operations against Hezbollah in southern Lebanon are expected to continue.

A senior Israeli official told local media that the United States had conveyed a message to Iran indicating that if Tehran stops its missile attacks, Israel would also refrain from carrying out further strikes.

The development marks a significant step toward reducing tensions between the two regional rivals, although no formal ceasefire agreement between Israel and Iran has been publicly announced.

Regional and international observers are closely monitoring the situation for signs of de-escalation following weeks of heightened military activity and security concerns across the Middle East.
