Pakistan’s Top Court Leaders Join Global Legal Forum on AI and Technology in Russia

ST. PETERSBURG, June, 2026: Chief Justice of Pakistan Justice Yahya Afridi and Chief Justice of the Federal Constitutional Court of Pakistan Justice Aminuddin Khan participated in the St. Petersburg International Legal Forum 2026, where senior legal figures discussed the future of law, technology and artificial intelligence.

The Pakistani judicial leadership attended a series of high-level sessions in St. Petersburg alongside Pakistan’s Ambassador to the Russian Federation Faisal Niaz Tirmizi. The discussions focused on how rapid technological change, particularly artificial intelligence, is influencing legal systems, judicial institutions and legal education.

According to the press release, the forum brought together senior judges, legal practitioners, policymakers and academics from different countries to exchange views on legal reforms and emerging challenges linked to new technologies.

Participants discussed how legal frameworks can respond to innovation while preserving the core principles of justice, institutional independence and public trust in judicial systems.
