Malala Yousafzai Visits Hometown Shangla, Promotes Girls’ Education and Honors Students

Shangla: Nobel laureate Malala Yousafzai visited her hometown of Barkana Shahpur, Shangla, where she attended a ceremony at a school run by the Malala Trust. The students presented national songs and speeches in Urdu and Pashto, highlighting the importance of education. Malala praised the school administration’s performance and distributed awards to top-performing students. She emphasized the significance of education, particularly for girls in underdeveloped areas like Shangla, and encouraged students to focus on education to succeed in life.

Malala also appreciated the efforts of Zindagi Trust’s Onar Shahzad Rai and thanked him. After spending time at the school, Malala returned to Islamabad. Sources revealed that Malala’s visit was pre-planned but was delayed due to security concerns. She arrived in Shangla with her father, Ziauddin, her husband, Asser, and her Malalnd head, Bashari.
