Pakistan delivered a strong performance at the seventh F-Class World Championship 2026 in Bisley, United Kingdom, with Junaid Ali winning the individual FTR world title and the Pakistani team securing a silver medal in the team competition.
The championship brought together 207 long-range shooters from 24 countries. Competing under the leadership of Ahsan Gulrez, Pakistan’s 12-member team recorded multiple medals across individual events before finishing as runners-up in the FTR team competition.
Junaid Ali wins individual FTR world title
Junaid Ali emerged as the individual FTR world champion after finishing ahead of 207 competitors. His performance included three gold, one silver and one bronze medal during the championship.
The individual FTR title marks a major achievement for Pakistan in international F-Class shooting and highlights the country’s growing presence in long-range shooting competitions.
Pakistan leads FTR medal tally
Pakistan’s shooters collected four gold, four silver and five bronze medals in the individual competitions, giving the country the highest number of FTR medals at the championship.
Muhammad Waleed contributed a gold and a bronze medal, while Huzaifa Gill produced a strong showing in the Under-25 category with three silver and two bronze medals. Ahsan Gill also secured a bronze medal.
Seven Pakistani shooters, including Ahsan Gulrez, Junaid Ali, Waleed, Ubaid, Qasim, Huzaifa Gill and Junaid Waqas, finished among the championship’s top 100 competitors.
Pakistan finishes runner-up in team event
The F-Class team competition was held on August 15 and 16 over distances of 800, 900 and 1,000 yards. Teams from 11 countries, including former world and European champions, competed for the title.
Pakistan finished second after a closely contested competition, earning the silver medal.
The result adds to Pakistan’s growing record in international F-Class shooting, with the country making significant progress on the global stage over the past three years.
