A meeting regarding SSOIU was held at the DPO Office Jhelum under the chairmanship of District Police Officer (DPO) Jhelum, Tariq Aziz Sindhu. The meeting was attended by DSP Investigation Chaudhry Zafar Iqbal, DDPP, Victim Support Officers, investigation officers of the district, and branch in-charges of the DPO Office.

The DPO Jhelum reviewed the police response and progress on crimes related to women, children, and transgender individuals.He emphasized that violence, abuse, and harassment against women, children, and transgender persons will not be tolerated under any circumstances.Ensuring a sense of security among women and children is our responsibility.
No negligence from the police will be tolerated in addressing the concerns of vulnerable segments of society.Immediate response must be given to complaints received via the 15 helpline, Women Safety App, and Punjab Police Pakistan App.
He also urged police officers to treat citizens with respect and ensure the resolution of their issues. He reiterated that a zero-tolerance policy is being followed in cases of abuse against women and children.
He concluded by stating that modern policing methods will be adopted to address citizens’ problems on a priority basis.
