Vice Chancellor of Women’s University Swabi, Professor Dr. Mian Syed Khan, emphasized that female students should actively participate in extracurricular activities alongside their academic pursuits. He stated that such activities not only contribute to their physical and mental development but also enhance their leadership and self-confidence. He further added that success and failure in sports are equally important as they provide the courage and determination needed to face future challenges. He reaffirmed the university’s commitment to providing all possible support and facilities to students so they can refine their skills and establish their identity at national and international levels.
He expressed these views while addressing the closing ceremony of the four-day Sports and Business Gala at Women’s University Swabi. The event featured various sports competitions and business activities. The chief guest, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Mian Syed Khan, distributed shields and cash prizes among students who excelled in the competitions. The ceremony was attended by Registrar Raiessa Bano, Sports In-charge Dr. Neelam, Deputy Commissioner Swabi Nasrullah, Vice President of Gadoon Chamber of Commerce Hameedullah Khan, General Secretary Salman, and Sports Officer Swabi Saeed Akhtar.
Deputy Commissioner Nasrullah also distributed cash prizes among students and assured his full support for such initiatives. He stated that events like these not only enhance students’ abilities but also foster a spirit of healthy competition. The participants congratulated the organizers for successfully arranging the event and expressed hope that similar constructive and beneficial activities would continue in the future.
