ATTOCK: Para Force teams carried out a large-scale anti-encroachment operation in several commercial areas of Attock city, issuing warnings, imposing fines, sealing showrooms and registering an FIR against a shop owner.

The operation was conducted under the supervision of SDEO Para Force Afaq Chaudhry, with Sergeant Mahmood Khan, Wajahat Khan, Sergeant Abdullah and other staff members taking part.

The Attock anti-encroachment operation covered Civil Bazaar, Jumma Bazaar, Landa Bazaar, Sarafa Bazaar, Dhok Fateh and Shin Bagh, where officials inspected shops and commercial properties for violations of designated business limits.

Warnings and Penalties Issued

Officials took action against shopkeepers who had placed goods, stalls or other items beyond permitted areas, obstructing public pathways and market access.

Several traders were issued warnings, while fines were imposed on those found violating encroachment regulations. Showrooms operating beyond the approved limits were also sealed.

Authorities said an FIR was registered against one shop owner for failing to comply with official instructions.

Speaking to the media, Afaq Chaudhry said encroachments would not be tolerated and that the law would be enforced in accordance with Punjab government directives.

He warned shopkeepers and business owners to remove all illegal extensions and obstructions, adding that no leniency would be shown to repeat violators.

The operation was aimed at clearing public spaces, improving traffic movement and ensuring easier access for pedestrians and customers in Attock’s busy markets.
