Police in Karachi, working alongside a federal intelligence agency, have seized 66 kilograms of high-quality hashish and arrested two suspects during a joint operation in the city’s Mochko area. Authorities said the operation foiled an alleged interprovincial drug smuggling attempt before the narcotics could be distributed.

According to police, the suspects were transporting the drugs from Balochistan to Karachi in a Land Cruiser. The seizure is part of ongoing efforts to disrupt narcotics trafficking networks operating between provinces.

Drugs hidden inside vehicle

Police identified the arrested suspects as Muhammad Faisal and Abdul Wali.

During a search of the vehicle, officers recovered 66 kilograms of hashish that had been concealed inside the Land Cruiser. Investigators said the narcotics were allegedly intended for distribution across different areas of Karachi.

Investigation underway

Police have registered a case against the suspects and launched further investigations to determine the source of the drugs, identify other individuals involved, and trace the wider smuggling network.
