SHANGLA: Six siblings were killed and a young girl survived after the roof of their house collapsed in the Rahimabad area of Alpuri tehsil in Shangla district on Monday, rescue officials said.
According to rescuers, seven children were trapped beneath the rubble when the roof caved in. Emergency teams recovered six children dead from the debris, while one girl was pulled out alive and rescued.
The victims were identified as Nazira, Samira, Rizwan, Nayyab, Haya Noor and Umaira Bibi. Officials said the children were between five and 14 years old.
Police said the children’s father, Jehan Bashir, had died some time ago. The family had been living in a mud-built house that was considered vulnerable to structural damage.
