SWAT: Fifty-four students from across Malakand Division participated in divisional-level Naat and Qira’at competitions at Wadudia Hall in Saidu Sharif as part of Ashra-e-Rehmat-ul-Lil-Alameen ﷺ.
The competitions were organized under the directives of the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government and brought together students who had secured first, second or third positions in district-level contests. The event also included a Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ conference attended by religious scholars, teachers and education officials.
Students Showcase Recitation Skills
Additional Deputy Commissioner Relief and Human Rights Swat Naimatullah Khan attended the event as chief guest.
Students from government and private educational institutions, as well as religious seminaries, participated in the competitions, showcasing their skills in Qur’an recitation and Naat.
In the Qira’at competition, Junaid Ahmad of Buner secured first position, followed by Abida Salam of Lower Dir in second place and Muhammad Anas of Malakand in third.
In the Naat competition, Khalilullah of Swat secured first position. Was-ur-Rehman of Upper Chitral finished second, while Saeeda Aima Amir, also from Upper Chitral, secured third position
.
Seerat Conference Focuses on Religious Values
The Seerat-un-Nabi ﷺ conference focused on the importance of teaching younger generations about the life, character and teachings of the Holy Prophet ﷺ.
Religious scholars, teachers and education officials emphasized the role of families and educational institutions in nurturing moral and religious values among young people.
The participation of students from different educational institutions and religious seminaries also provided an opportunity for them to demonstrate their abilities in Qur’an recitation and Naat.
At the conclusion of the event, Naimatullah Khan and other officials congratulated the successful participants and distributed certificates and prize cheques among the position holders.
