RIDA Holds Oath-Taking Ceremony for Newly Elected Office-Bearers

The Rawalpindi-Islamabad Distributors Association (RIDA) held an oath-taking ceremony for its newly elected office-bearers and executive members, formally marking the beginning of the association’s new term.

Prominent business leader Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari attended the ceremony as chief guest and administered the oath to the newly elected leadership. He congratulated the office-bearers and wished them success during their tenure.

Those who took oath included Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi as President, Azhar Abbasi as Chairman, Atif Shehzad as Senior Vice President, Muhammad Younis as General Secretary, Naeem Khan as Group Coordinator, Muhammad Arsalan Bhatti as Joint Secretary, Mutiullah Sheikh as Information Secretary and Farhan Qamar as Finance Secretary.

Speaking on the occasion, Ahsan Zafar Bakhtawari stressed the importance of unity, cooperation and effective representation of the business community. He said stronger coordination among distributors, importers and other stakeholders could create new opportunities for business growth and expansion.

Participants also discussed challenges facing the distribution and import sectors and highlighted the need for collective efforts to promote trade, facilitate businesses and strengthen coordination within the commercial community.

In his remarks, RIDA President Aqeel Ahmed Abbasi thanked Bakhtawari for attending the ceremony and administering the oath. He said the newly elected body would work to strengthen the association and effectively represent the interests of its members.

Abbasi said the new leadership would proactively address issues faced by distributors and importers and raise their concerns at relevant forums. He added that greater attention would be given to improving coordination among members, facilitating business activities and exploring opportunities for sustainable growth.

He said the distribution and import sectors play an important role in supporting commercial activity and the broader economy, adding that RIDA would work to develop stronger institutional relationships and provide members with an effective platform for addressing professional and business concerns.

A large number of senior representatives from the distribution and import sectors, along with RIDA’s newly elected office-bearers and executive members, attended the ceremony.

Participants congratulated the new leadership and expressed confidence that the team would play an effective role in promoting the interests of the business community and further strengthening RIDA.
