KARACHI — A two-day international conference on “Emerging Technologies and the Future Warfare,” hosted by the Maritime Centre of Excellence, concluded in Karachi with discussions on how technological advances are reshaping modern conflict.

The event brought together maritime experts, policymakers, academics, and industry representatives to examine evolving geostrategic trends and the growing impact of advanced technologies on defence and security.

Chief of the Naval Staff Naveed Ashraf, who attended as chief guest, highlighted the need for closer collaboration between industry, academia, and operational stakeholders to support innovation and adaptability in defence systems.

He said such cooperation could strengthen local capabilities, promote self-reliance, and support the development of a competitive defence ecosystem with export potential.
