RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir met a high-level Kuwaiti defence delegation at General Headquarters in Rawalpindi on Thursday, with talks focused on regional security, bilateral military cooperation and stronger institutional ties between Pakistan and Kuwait.
The delegation was led by Kuwait’s Defence Minister Sheikh Abdullah Ali Abdullah Al-Saleem Al-Sabah and included Lieutenant General Khalid Darj Saad Al-Shriaan, Chief of General Staff of the Kuwaiti Armed Forces, according to the Inter-Services Public Relations.
During the meeting, both sides discussed matters of mutual interest and reviewed opportunities to expand defence cooperation between the two countries.
Pakistan and Kuwait reaffirmed their commitment to strengthening institutional links and pursuing mutually beneficial collaboration in the defence sector.
The Kuwaiti delegation also praised the professionalism and operational capabilities of the Pakistan Armed Forces and acknowledged their role in supporting regional peace and stability.
The meeting reflected the broader effort by Islamabad and Kuwait City to deepen longstanding bilateral relations through closer military and security engagement.
According to ISPR, both sides expressed their resolve to build a stronger and more durable defence partnership aimed at contributing to regional security and stability.
