RAWALPINDI: Fauji Fertilizer Company Limited (FFC) has entered into a strategic partnership with Norway-based Yara International ASA to introduce advanced biological and specialty crop nutrition products in Pakistan, aiming to support climate-smart agriculture and improve farm productivity.
The collaboration brings together FFC’s nationwide distribution network and experience in Pakistan’s agricultural sector with Yara’s global expertise in crop nutrition and agronomic technologies. Officials say the partnership is intended to provide farmers with advanced solutions tailored to local cropping systems and growing climate challenges.
The product portfolio was officially launched during a ceremony at Sona Tower, FFC’s head office in Rawalpindi, attended by senior executives from both companies.

New crop nutrition portfolio launched
As part of the partnership, the SONA and Yara brands have entered a co-branding arrangement to introduce a portfolio of biological foliar nutrition products and specialty fertilizers in Pakistan.
The newly launched products include YaraAmplix Optitrac™, YaraVita Crop Boost™, YaraVita Bortrac™, YaraVita Frutrel™, YaraVita Solatrel™, along with YaraLiva Tropicote™, a highly soluble calcium fertilizer.
According to the companies, the products have undergone scientific evaluation, field validation and technical adaptation for Pakistan’s agricultural conditions before being introduced to the local market.
Focus on climate-smart agriculture
FFC and Yara said the collaboration aims to address growing challenges facing Pakistan’s agriculture, including climate change, environmental stress and rising food demand.
The companies said the advanced formulations are designed to improve nutrient delivery, enhance foliar absorption and support crop performance during critical growth stages, helping farmers increase productivity while using resources more efficiently.
The products will be marketed under NexGen Nutrients through FFC’s nationwide marketing and agricultural advisory network.

Companies highlight long-term collaboration
Speaking at the launch ceremony, Mohammad Ali Janjua, Chief Commercial Officer of FFC, said the partnership represents another step in the company’s efforts to introduce innovative agricultural technologies for Pakistani farmers.
He said combining FFC’s local market knowledge with Yara’s global expertise would improve access to internationally recognized crop nutrition solutions while supporting higher crop yields, better quality and improved farm profitability.
Janjua added that the initiative is expected to contribute to sustainable agriculture, climate resilience and national food security while strengthening Pakistan’s appeal for international investment in the agricultural sector.
