LAHORE: Police have clarified the circumstances surrounding a viral video showing actress Meera involved in a dispute with her domestic worker, saying the footage dates back to June 2026.
According to the spokesperson for the DIG Operations, police conducted a detailed inquiry after the video circulated on social media and recorded statements from both Meera and the domestic worker.
During the inquiry, the maid told police that the dispute had been resolved mutually and that she did not want to pursue legal action against the actress.
Police said the domestic worker’s written agreement and a video statement were also made part of the official record.
The inquiry further revealed that Meera had filed a complaint alleging that the domestic worker had taken some belongings from her. However, the actress later withdrew the complaint after the items were returned.
Police officials said the dispute between the two parties has now been settled, with neither side seeking further legal proceedings.
The clarification comes as the old video continues to circulate on social media, with police confirming that it does not depict a recent incident.
