Govinda and Sunita Ahuja Divorce Case Ends After Petition Withdrawn

Bollywood actor Govinda and his wife Sunita Ahuja’s divorce proceedings have come to an end after Sunita withdrew her divorce petition from a Mumbai family court, according to Govinda’s team.

Sunita appeared at the Mumbai Family Court accompanied by the couple’s son, Yashvardhan Ahuja. Her court visit had prompted renewed speculation about the couple’s marriage, but Govinda’s manager Shashi Sinha said there was no reason for concern and confirmed that Sunita had withdrawn the case.

Govinda’s Team Confirms Withdrawal

Speaking about the development, Shashi Sinha said Sunita had withdrawn the case and described the development as positive. He also dismissed speculation that a new dispute had emerged between the couple.

Sunita was reportedly asked by paparazzi why she had visited the court. She responded briefly that she had gone there to celebrate a birthday.

Why Was the Divorce Petition Filed?

According to reports, Sunita Ahuja filed a divorce petition at the Mumbai Family Court on December 5, 2024, under the Hindu Marriage Act.

The petition reportedly cited allegations including infidelity, mistreatment and separation. However, with the petition now withdrawn, the divorce proceedings between the couple have ended for the time being.

Govinda and Sunita’s Marriage

Govinda and Sunita Ahuja married in 1987 and have two children, daughter Tina Ahuja and son Yashvardhan Ahuja.

Sunita’s decision to withdraw the divorce petition has brought an apparent end to the legal proceedings and eased recent speculation surrounding the couple’s relationship.
