A shipment of 37,500 doses of meningitis vaccine has arrived in Pakistan.
According to DRAP sources, a private pharmaceutical company imported the vaccine. Punjab has already received 16,000 doses, while Sindh, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Balochistan will receive supplies as needed.
The vaccine shortage occurred after Saudi authorities made it mandatory for Umrah pilgrims.
DRAP has advised Umrah pilgrims to get vaccinated at least 10 days before traveling and to consult their doctors before receiving the meningitis vaccine.
