Quetta medical store sealed over alleged administration of anti-allergy injections to children

QUETTA, June 3: District authorities in Quetta have sealed a private medical store in the Nawan Killi area after reports emerged that anti-allergy injections were allegedly being administered to children at the premises.

The action was taken following the circulation of reports on social media, prompting local authorities to investigate the matter. Officials said the case raises concerns about unauthorized medical practices and patient safety.

According to the district administration, Deputy Commissioner Quetta Mehrullah Badini took notice of the reports and directed the Drug Controller team to conduct an inspection of the medical store.

During the operation, officials sealed the facility and confiscated equipment and other related materials found on the premises.

Case registered against store owner

The district administration said a case has been registered against the owner of the medical store, and further legal proceedings are underway.

Authorities did not immediately provide additional details regarding the number of children involved or the circumstances under which the injections were allegedly administered.

Crackdown on unauthorized medical activities

Officials stated that strict action is being taken against individuals and businesses found endangering public health through unauthorized medical practices.

The administration said enforcement operations against illegal healthcare activities will continue and warned that violations of health and drug regulations would not be tolerated.

Authorities reiterated their commitment to protecting public safety and ensuring compliance with applicable laws governing medical services and pharmaceutical operations.
