UPPER DIR: More than 1,200 people received free healthcare services during a two-day medical camp organized in the remote Kumrat area by the District Youth Office Upper Dir in collaboration with volunteer doctors from Aid International.
The camp was held at Government Middle School Jandrai on the instructions of Deputy Commissioner Manzoor Ahmad Afridi. Organizers said the initiative aimed to improve access to healthcare in underserved areas while encouraging volunteerism, social responsibility, and public service among young people.
According to officials, a total of 1,272 patients underwent free medical examinations and received medicines and consultations for various health conditions during the two-day camp.
Young doctors and volunteers provided medical services throughout the event, earning appreciation from local residents for their efforts.

At the closing ceremony, District Youth Office representative Haji Akbar presented certificates of appreciation and commemorative shields to the volunteer doctors and youth participants in recognition of their contributions.
Organizers also reaffirmed their commitment to continuing similar welfare initiatives to promote youth engagement in community service and expand access to essential healthcare in remote areas.
