ISLAMABAD, September: Senior Vice President of Pak-UK Trade Forum, Khurshid Ahmad Hashmi, has paid rich tribute to the Pakistan Armed Forces and the nation on Defence Day, describing September 6 as a historic day that will always be remembered in the history of Pakistan.
In a statement issued here, Khurshid Ahmad Hashmi said that the enemy had underestimated the strength of Pakistan’s Armed Forces and the resilience of the Pakistani nation by launching sudden attacks under the cover of darkness. However, the enemy was completely surprised by the brave and befitting response of Pakistan’s Armed Forces.
He said that Pakistan continues to face major challenges, adding that when India once again attempted to challenge Pakistan on May 9, the response from the country’s Armed Forces dealt a major blow to the enemy. The whole world witnessed the remarkable success and professionalism of Pakistan’s Armed Forces, he added.
Khurshid Ahmad Hashmi expressed the hope that India would never again dare to attack Pakistan.
He paid tribute to the Chief of Defence Forces, saying that his timely, brave and firm strategy played a vital role in making the victory possible. He also saluted the Air Chief and Naval Chief, saying that their names would always shine in the pages of Pakistan’s history.
The Senior Vice President of Pak-UK Trade Forum also paid tribute to the highly professional Armed Forces of Pakistan and all the martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the secure future of the nation. He also saluted the Ghazis who continue to defend the country day and night.
He said that the nation fully supports the Armed Forces of Pakistan and urged the people to remain united and stand firmly behind their Armed Forces, who are always committed to ensuring the security and stability of the country.
Khurshid Ahmad Hashmi also expressed support for the defence policy adopted by Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir and termed the historic Mecca Accord a significant initiative and a matter of pride for Pakistanis at home and abroad.
He concluded by reiterating his solidarity with Pakistan and its Armed Forces.
