RAWALPINDI: Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir, Chief of Army Staff and Chief of Defence Forces, visited Quetta Garrison on Friday, where he reviewed the security situation, operational preparedness and ongoing efforts to maintain peace and stability across Balochistan.
According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the Field Marshal interacted with commanders and commanding officers of field formations during the visit.
He was given a detailed briefing on the prevailing security environment, operational readiness and measures being taken to support peace and stability in the province.
The briefing also covered institutional coordination and the role of state institutions in supporting Balochistan’s socio-economic development.
Field Marshal Asim Munir praised the professionalism, operational readiness and commitment of troops and stressed the importance of continued coordination among law enforcement agencies and other state institutions.
He said stronger institutional coordination was essential for consolidating peace and creating conditions that support sustained economic activity and development in Balochistan.
The army chief reaffirmed that the peace, prosperity and well-being of the people of Balochistan remain central to the state’s efforts.
He said a stable and secure environment would continue to help facilitate development projects, create economic opportunities and improve prospects for people across the province.
Field Marshal Asim Munir also paid tribute to the sacrifices of martyrs and appreciated the dedication of officers and troops serving in the region.
He was received on arrival in Quetta by the Commander Quetta Corps.
