The visit included Mardan Police Lines, the Police Facilitation Center, the Command and Control Room, and the office of the District Police Officer (DPO), where officials briefed the delegation on service delivery systems and technology-driven policing initiatives. The delegation appreciated the upgraded infrastructure and citizen-friendly services being provided under one roof.

During the briefing at the Police Facilitation Center, officials explained that citizens can access multiple police-related services, documentation, and support facilities at a single location. The system, they said, is designed to reduce delays, improve transparency, and enhance the overall public experience.

The delegation was also informed about the Safe City project and the integrated Command and Control Room, which uses CCTV surveillance and real-time monitoring systems to support crime prevention and rapid response. Lawmakers described the initiative as a significant step toward improving public safety and strengthening law enforcement capacity.

The visiting delegation included National Assembly members Muhammad Atif Khan and Mujahid Khan, Senator Zeeshan Khanzada, Provincial Health Minister Khaliq-ur-Rehman, Provincial Revenue Minister Tariq Aryani, MPAs Zarshad Khan and Ameer Farzand, WSSC Mardan CEO Engineer Adil Nawaz, and PTI District General Secretary Shahid Anwar, among others.

Speaking on the occasion, Muhammad Atif Khan said the government’s priority is to improve public service delivery and strengthen trust between citizens and the police. He added that modern policing initiatives such as facilitation centers and Safe City systems are improving response times and law enforcement outcomes.

Provincial ministers also commended the Mardan Police for their performance, noting that continued investment in technology and institutional capacity is essential for maintaining law and order. They reaffirmed support for expanding citizen-focused policing reforms across the district.

At the end of the visit, the delegation praised DPO Masood Bangash and his team for their professional conduct and public service initiatives, expressing confidence that the police force would continue to strengthen both service delivery and security outcomes.
