More than 259,000 Pakistani nationals have been deported from 36 countries over the past five and a half years, according to documents presented before the National Assembly Standing Committee on Interior. The figures indicate that an average of 132 Pakistanis are being deported daily from various countries.

The report highlights growing concerns over immigration compliance, documentation issues, and illegal stays abroad, with a significant number of deportations originating from countries in the Gulf region.

According to official documents, nearly 65 percent of deported Pakistanis were sent back from countries considered close partners of Pakistan. A total of 117,000 Pakistani nationals were deported from Saudi Arabia, Qatar, Oman, Bahrain, the United Arab Emirates and Kuwait during the reporting period.

Saudi Arabia accounted for the largest number of deportations, with approximately 110,000 Pakistanis expelled over the past five and a half years. During the same period, around 41,000 Pakistanis were deported from the UAE and nearly 10,000 from Oman.

Deportation Figures by Year

The documents show that 59,000 Pakistanis were deported from 17 countries in 2021. More than 51,000 faced deportation in 2022, while 44,000 were removed from 21 countries in 2023.

In 2024, nearly 69,000 Pakistanis were deported from 57 countries. Last year alone, about 58,000 Pakistanis were repatriated, while more than 22,000 have already been deported during the current year.

Airport Offloading and Immigration Concerns

The report also revealed that nearly 150,000 Pakistanis were offloaded from airports over the past three years due to incomplete or improper travel documentation.

Speaking to media, FIA Director General عثمان انور stated that deportations occur for several reasons, including forged or incomplete documents, visa violations and illegal residence in foreign countries.

He said immigration authorities have been strictly implementing travel regulations over the past six months and advised citizens to ensure all required travel documents are complete before departure.

The FIA chief further disclosed that around 10,000 Pakistani nationals had allegedly misused student visas in the United Kingdom. He added that immigration officials have been directed to thoroughly verify passengers’ documents before allowing international travel.

Authorities also identified several routes allegedly used by human smuggling networks, including pathways through Uzbekistan, Belarus and Poland, as well as routes involving Mauritius, the Canary Islands and Spain.
