A video showing a motorcyclist performing a dangerous wheelie with a young woman seated on the front mudguard of the motorcycle has gone viral on social media, prompting police action in Islamabad.
The incident reportedly took place in a private housing society in the Islamabad-Rawalpindi area. The footage has raised safety concerns due to the reckless nature of the stunt and the presence of other vehicles on the road.
The video shows the rider travelling a considerable distance on one wheel while the young woman sits on the motorcycle’s front mudguard, holding the handlebars. She can also be seen making hand gestures during the stunt.
Several other motorcyclists appear in the video, while traffic continues to move on the busy roadway. The maneuver posed a potential risk to both the riders and other road users.
Police Identify Suspect
Despite the video circulating widely online, police have not yet taken the rider into custody. However, officials say the motorcycle has been traced through its registration number and the suspect has been identified.
According to police, the rider is currently not present in the city. Authorities said efforts are underway to locate and arrest him.
SHO Loi Bher stated that legal action would be taken once the suspect is apprehended. Police also noted that the housing society is equipped with CCTV cameras, which are being used as part of the investigation.
