MUMBAI: Bollywood actress and BJP parliamentarian Kangana Ranaut has criticised Rakhi Sawant over recent controversial remarks involving successful women and public figures.

In an Instagram Story, Ranaut accused Sawant of making repeated personal attacks and said that unsuccessful and bitter individuals sometimes target the character of successful women to satisfy feelings of jealousy, failure and ego.

Kangana Responds to Rakhi Sawant

Ranaut said it was time for women to stop feeling weakened by what she described as repeated and deliberate public attacks.

She also argued that public figures should not feel compelled to constantly defend themselves against personal criticism or character attacks.

In a strongly worded message, Ranaut further mocked Sawant’s career prospects, saying that even a cleaning job requires certain standards and abilities. She concluded by telling Sawant to remain where she was and watch her film while continuing to criticise her.

Rakhi Sawant Faces Criticism

Sawant has recently faced criticism over remarks that were perceived as having double meanings and referred to Ranaut, BJP leader Smriti Irani and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

The comments were made during an episode of comedian Samay Raina’s show, where Sawant appeared alongside businessman Ashneer Grover, comedian Kushagra Srivastava and The Habitat owner Balraj Ghai.

The exchange has since attracted attention on social media, with Ranaut’s response adding another chapter to the public dispute between the two entertainers.

Ranaut was most recently seen in the film Bharat Bhagya Vidhata.
