Taxila: Wah Cantt’s renowned business dispute has finally reached a verdict. Muhammad Tayyab and Muhammad Ghalib of Nalain Motors have been acquitted with honor in a case filed under the Punjab Prohibition of Interest on Private Loans Act 2022. The accused were alleged to have taken blank checks from the complainant’s brother, Asad Hussain, and fraudulently filled them out, along with keeping three additional checks and vehicle documents. They were also accused of demanding Rs 67 lakh in interest over a year and a half.
The case was heard by Area Magistrate Adeel Majeed Qureshi, who ruled in favor of the accused after being convinced by the arguments presented by their lawyer, Syed Ikrar Haider Shah. The lawyer argued that the dispute was actually a matter of a Rs 50 lakh transaction between the parties, which the complainant’s brother had failed to pay. Instead, a false case was registered against the accused, who have a good reputation and business standing in the area.
The court’s decision was influenced by the lack of evidence, insufficient testimony, and the strong arguments presented by Syed Ikrar Haider Shah. The acquittal of Muhammad Tayyab and Muhammad Ghalib brings an end to this long-standing dispute.
