Women University Mardan Conducts Faculty Tenure Reviews

MARDAN: Women University Mardan (WUM) convened a meeting of its Departmental Tenure Review Committee (DTRC) to assess the academic and professional progress of three Assistant Professors.

The review covered one Assistant Professor from the Department of Physics and two Assistant Professors from the Department of Mathematics.

The meeting was chaired by Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Razia Sultana, who also serves as convener of the DTRC. Registrar Adnan Ahmad, secretary of the committee, presented the relevant records, documents and supporting material for review.

The committee conducted the Second-Year Review, Third-Year Review and Mid-Term Review of the faculty members. Their performance was assessed against established tenure criteria, including teaching, research, publications, academic contributions and professional development.

External members of the DTRC also participated in the meeting and provided academic and professional input.

The external members included Dr Aurangzeb, Professor of Physics at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan; Dr Sohail, Professor of Tenure at the University of Peshawar; Dr Muhammad Ayaz, Associate Professor of Mathematics at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan; Dr Ejaz Ahmad, Associate Professor of Physics at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan; and Dr Gul Rooh, Professor of Physics at Abdul Wali Khan University Mardan.

Speaking during the meeting, Vice Chancellor Professor Dr Razia Sultana stressed the importance of maintaining high standards in teaching, research, academic contributions and professional development.

She reiterated the university’s commitment to academic excellence, merit-based assessments and transparent faculty evaluation.

The DTRC meeting reflects Women University Mardan’s efforts to strengthen academic standards and ensure that faculty performance is assessed through a comprehensive and transparent process in line with established policies and criteria.
