ISLAMABAD, May 11: The Pakistan Tennis Federation (PTF) has signed its first formal partnership with an educational institution by launching the Rising Tennis Stars programme in collaboration with Westminster Academy, officials announced on Monday.

The initiative aims to integrate professional tennis training into the school environment, combining sports development with academic learning for students at the primary level. The programme is expected to focus on technical coaching, physical conditioning, and early talent identification while promoting active lifestyles among students.

The agreement was signed between the PTF and Westminster Academy under the leadership of the school’s Chief Executive Officer, Raheel Sajjad Khan.

According to the federation, the Rising Tennis Stars programme will operate under the supervision of PTF President Aisam-ul-Haq Qureshi, Senior Executive Vice President Suleman Junaid, and National Development Director Sara Mansoor.

All coaching sessions will be conducted by certified tennis coaches as part of a structured training framework developed for young students.

Focus on youth sports development

Officials said the programme is designed to encourage discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship alongside athletic development.

The partnership also marks the first collaboration of its kind between the Pakistan Tennis Federation and a school, creating a model for future cooperation between educational institutions and national sports bodies in Pakistan.

Westminster Academy said the initiative reflects its broader focus on student development through academic and extracurricular opportunities.
