PESHAWAR, September 14: The Customs Department at Customs House Peshawar, in collaboration with Hamza Foundation, organised a blood donation camp for thalassemia patients registered with the foundation.
Customs officers and staff from different ranks took part in the initiative and donated blood for children undergoing treatment for thalassemia.
Organisers said the campaign was aimed at supporting patients who require regular blood transfusions while also encouraging a stronger culture of voluntary blood donation and community service.
Officials said the participation of officers and staff reflected the importance of collective responsibility in supporting children living with thalassemia.
They also urged members of the public to donate blood regularly, noting that a single donation can provide critical support to a child in need.
The camp formed part of efforts by Hamza Foundation and Customs House Peshawar to promote humanitarian service and raise awareness about the continuing need for blood donations for thalassemia patients.
