ISLAMABAD, July 10, 2026: Pakistan Telecommunication Company Limited (PTCL) has announced that its fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) service, PTCL Flash Fiber, has surpassed 900,000 subscribers, marking a major milestone in the company’s broadband expansion across the country.

The growth reflects increasing demand for high-speed and reliable internet services in Pakistan, as households, businesses, students, professionals, gamers, and content creators rely more heavily on digital connectivity for work, education, entertainment, and online services.

PTCL expands fiber network across Pakistan

PTCL said the achievement is part of its broader strategy to strengthen digital connectivity and support the country’s growing demand for next-generation broadband services.

The company’s Flash Fiber service has expanded its fiber network to 78 cities nationwide, providing high-speed internet access to millions of users.

PTCL said continued investment in fiber infrastructure, network reliability, and customer experience has contributed to the growth of its subscriber base.

Ookla recognizes PTCL network performance

PTCL Flash Fiber’s network performance has also received recognition from Ookla, a global internet testing and network intelligence company.

According to PTCL, Ookla’s Speedtest Connectivity Report awarded the service two distinctions: Best Fixed Network for Pakistan and Best ISP Gaming Experience.

The recognition was based on network performance and customer experience measurements, including factors such as speed, reliability, and latency.

CEO highlights focus on digital connectivity

Commenting on the milestone, PTCL President and CEO Mohammad Nadeem Khan said the growing subscriber base reflects customer confidence in Flash Fiber and the company’s commitment to expanding its fiber footprint.

He said PTCL would continue investing in next-generation network infrastructure to meet Pakistan’s increasing digital requirements and provide improved broadband services to individuals, businesses, and communities.

PTCL said the continued expansion of Flash Fiber is aimed at supporting wider digital adoption, including remote work, online learning, cloud-based applications, digital entertainment, and other internet-dependent services.
