England defeated Pakistan by eight wickets in the third and final Test to complete a 3-0 series sweep, handing Pakistan their first Test series whitewash in England.
Chasing 130 runs on the fourth day in Birmingham, England reached the target for the loss of just two wickets, sealing a dominant series victory over the visitors.
Captain Joe Root remained unbeaten on 62, while Jordan Cox scored an unbeaten 59 to guide England comfortably to the target.
Pakistan fast bowler Mohammad Abbas provided an early breakthrough by dismissing openers Ben Duckett and Emilio Gay, but England recovered quickly and completed the chase without further damage.
Razaullah, Abbas Partnership Lifts Pakistan
Pakistan were bowled out for 449 by the end of the third day, with debutant Razaullah and Mohammad Abbas playing a key role in helping the side post a competitive total.
The pair added 121 runs in an important partnership, giving Pakistan hope of extending the contest into the final stages of the match.
However, England’s batters remained composed during the fourth-day chase and ensured the hosts completed the series without defeat.
