ISLAMABAD, September 18, 2026: Pakistan hockey forward Abdul Rehman has won the men’s Poligras Magic Skill Award following a global fan vote for standout moments from the 2026 FIH Hockey World Cup in Belgium and the Netherlands.
Rehman received 44 percent of the votes for his impressive 3D skills and goal against Wales. During the match, he controlled the ball in the air, moved past four defenders and finished the move with a goal.
The global voting process was held from September 4 to 13. Six moments—three from the men’s competition and three from the women’s competition—were shortlisted for the award, which is presented by FIH Global Supplier Polytan.
Rehman finished ahead of Canada’s Kenton Melville, who received 39 percent of the votes for his shortlisted moment.
In the women’s category, India goalkeeper Bichu Devi Karibam won the award with 52 percent of the vote for a reflex save against England.
Pakistan Hockey Federation President Mohyuddin Ahmad Wani congratulated Rehman on the achievement and said his success could inspire young hockey players in Pakistan.
