Pakistan Navy Rescues 20 Crew Members From Sinking Cargo Dhow Near Ormara

Rawalpindi: Pakistan Navy, in coordination with the Pakistan Maritime Security Agency (PMSA), has successfully rescued 20 Pakistani crew members from a sinking cargo dhow near Ormara after the vessel experienced severe flooding.

According to the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR), the rescue operation was launched after a distress call was received by the Joint Maritime Information Coordination Centre (JMICC).

Pakistan Navy’s PNS HUNAIN, along with required aerial assets, was immediately diverted to the location to conduct the emergency rescue mission.

The coordinated response resulted in the safe recovery of all 20 crew members from the distressed vessel. The rescued individuals are currently being provided with necessary medical assistance.

The successful operation highlights Pakistan Navy and PMSA’s continued commitment to maritime safety, protection of human life at sea and maintaining round-the-clock readiness to respond to emergencies in Pakistan’s maritime domain.
