ABBOTTABAD: The Pakistan Badminton Federation coaching camp has begun in Abbottabad to promote modern coaching standards and identify new badminton talent across the country.
The BWF Level One Coaching Course is being held with the support of the Pakistan Badminton Federation. The course was inaugurated by Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Sports Advisor Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand.
Senior Sports Officials Attend Opening Ceremony
Wajid Ali Chaudhry, Development Chairman of Badminton Asia and President of the Pakistan Badminton Federation, attended the ceremony.
KP Badminton Association President Bilal Khan, Regional Sports Officer Suleman Khan, Chairman Board Inayatullah Khan, and badminton coach Hayatullah were also present.
BWF Level One Training Underway
The coaching course is being organized in collaboration with the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Badminton Association and the Directorate General Sports Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
International coach Sam Penton is providing BWF Level One coaching training to the participants.
KP Government Focuses On Coach Development
Addressing the ceremony, Sports Advisor Taj Muhammad Khan Tarand said the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa government is paying special attention to the training of players and coaches for the promotion of sports.
He said modern and international-standard coaching is essential for improving players’ performance.
Tarand added that training programs are being arranged in different sports to enhance the professional capacity of coaches.
Course Expected To Promote Badminton Talent
The sports advisor expressed hope that coaches benefiting from the BWF Level One Coaching Course would play an important role in promoting badminton in the province.
He said trained coaches can help guide young players and support the development of new talent in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.
The main objective of the course is to improve the skills of badminton coaches in Pakistan, particularly in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. The initiative also aims to promote international-standard coaching so that badminton can be further developed across the country.
