ISLAMABAD: MariEnergies Limited and xLoop Digital have completed the first cohort of their Digital Skills, Training & Employment Program, with 44 young participants from rural areas across Pakistan graduating after five months of technical training.
The programme focused on Artificial Intelligence, agentic development and full-stack development, combining classroom learning with hands-on, project-based work designed to prepare participants for technology-sector careers.
According to the organisers, all 44 graduates — including five women — have secured internships or employment opportunities following completion of the programme.
The graduation ceremony was held at xLoop Digital’s Karachi office and was attended by MariEnergies Managing Director Faheem Haider, Director HSE Naseem Qamar, xLoop Digital CEO and founder Mir Nasir, and xLoop Chairman Danish Iqbal.
Speaking at the event, Faheem Haider highlighted the importance of continuous learning as technology and workplace demands evolve rapidly. He also announced that MariEnergies would extend dedicated support to graduates who decide to pursue higher education at university level.
Naseem Qamar said the initiative had been designed to go beyond conventional training and certification by creating a direct pathway from skills development to employment and sustainable livelihoods.
He said the programme sought to connect young people from MariEnergies’ operational communities with meaningful career opportunities by helping them build market-relevant digital and technical skills.
Graduates were awarded course completion certificates at the ceremony, while top-performing participants received shields and laptops in recognition of their performance.
Three participants who maintained 100 percent attendance were also awarded Evee electric bikes through a lucky draw.
Following the completion of the first cohort, organisers said Cohort II of the programme is scheduled to begin in September 2026, with a continued focus on youth empowerment, employability, diversity and community development.
