Dhudial – The Livestock Department has decided to plant 2,500 trees in District Chakwal to promote environmental sustainability. The Punjab Livestock Department has launched a tree plantation campaign in Chakwal, aiming to plant 2,500 trees across the district. This initiative is part of the department’s efforts to enhance environmental stability and mitigate the effects of climate change.
The campaign was inaugurated by Additional Director Livestock, Dr. Sohail Manzoor, who emphasized the importance of tree plantation in maintaining ecological balance. He stated, “Trees play a crucial role in preserving soil fertility, conserving water, and supporting biodiversity.”
The department has identified suitable locations for tree planting, including livestock farms, veterinary hospitals, and other departmental facilities. The campaign will focus on planting native tree species such as neem, eucalyptus, and peepal. It is expected that this initiative will have a positive impact on the environment while also benefiting livestock and farmers.
