A leaked audio call has surfaced allegedly showing leaders of a banned Joint Action Committee discussing plans to intensify unrest in Azad Jammu and Kashmir, including road closures, forced shutdowns and disruption of public services.
According to reports, the alleged conversation involves Advocate Shah Nawaz and Majid Ali, who are described as key figures of the banned committee. The audio has emerged amid growing concerns over law and order in different parts of Azad Kashmir, where authorities have linked the group to strikes, road blockades, property damage and attacks on officials.
In the leaked audio, the two men can reportedly be heard discussing plans to close roads and hospitals and worsen the situation on the ground. They also allegedly talk about pressuring law enforcement agencies and using provocative slogans to mobilize people.
The audio further suggests that members of the committee were being encouraged not to offer voluntary arrests and were instead being pushed toward confrontation with the state.
Officials and analysts quoted in local reports said the alleged activities of the banned committee have exposed its role in creating disorder in the region. They claimed that the group’s actions have disrupted daily life and created difficulties for ordinary citizens in Azad Kashmir.
The committee has been accused of involvement in forced strikes, road closures, vandalism of public and private property, and attacks on law enforcement personnel in various cities of Azad Kashmir.
Analysts said the latest audio leak has strengthened public support for the government ban on the committee, as residents increasingly reject activities that disturb civic life and public order.
Authorities are expected to review the contents of the audio as part of ongoing efforts to maintain peace and prevent further disruption in the region.
